Choosing Modern Art for the Bedroom

May 6, 2016 By BrightGreenDoor

Sometimes when it comes to decorating, choosing artwork is the hardest part. It’s got to be the right style, right colors, right size, and in the right frame. I loved the way my Master Bedroom was coming together for the One Room Challenge, but I wasn’t sure what to do about art. That was until I remembered all the amazing options at Minted.

I really wasn’t sure what exactly I wanted, but once I started looking through all of their amazing options I had a hard time narrowing it down to decide! In the end these were the nine prints that I narrowed it down to.

Modern Art with Copper Frame

After trying to envision each print in the space, I ended up deciding to go with number three: blush blossoms. I just loved the way that it pulled the green from the closet doors, along with pulling the coral color from the curtains. When it came to the frame I almost had just as hard of a time choosing which color to go with!

The white is really timeless, and works in almost any space. The black was really clean and modern, and really makes the artwork pop against the wall. In the end though I chose the copper. The bedside lamps that I went with were copper, and I loved adding another copper element to the room.modern minted art

I also wanted to share my simple tip for hanging art that has two hangers. All that I do is use a piece of painter’s tape to measure the distance between the two hangers. Trick for hanging pictures

Then I stick the tape where I want to hang the piece. This is where you can easily check to see if it is level and double check your positioning. hanging pictures with painters tape

Then you simply hammer your two nails at the top corners of the tape. How to hang pictures with painters tape

This is a foolproof method for ensuring that your piece is level and the nails are the right distance apart from each other.Minted Print in Master Bedroom

If you’ve got art pieces that you’ve been afraid to hang, I hope this simple trick inspires you to get them hung! Also if you’re searching for the perfect piece of art I encourage you to check out the awesome artist prints at Minted.com!
