If you’re anything like me, you’ve spent hours swooning over gorgeous light fixtures, only to be disappointed that you NEED a ceiling fan so none of them are an option. Well… those days are over because I just found a ceiling fan that can rival any gorgeous light fixture. Today I’m so excited to share our new modern industrial bedroom lighting with you!
Where we live it’s cold MOST of the time, which means we don’t have AC, but during those few hot and muggy weeks of summer, ceiling fans are what saves us. I love the look of Mid Century light fixtures, and never expected that I’d find an amazing Mid Century ceiling fan like this one!
Seriously, how amazing are these cone shaped lights? I just love their Mid Century style and cone shape.
I also love the matte oil rubbed bronze finish on this fan. Installation was pretty straight-forward too. I really like how the light works off of the light switch, but the fan works off of a remote control This means that we’re not constantly having to mess with the chains to adjust it. These lights are also adjustable so we can point them where we’d like. I like that I can point them into the closet when I need extra light there.
It’s goes perfectly with the handles on my DIY French closet doors. Not only is this fan gorgeous, but it is also the quietest ceiling fan we’ve ever had. Seriously, unless you look at it you can’t even tell if it’s running or not!
Earlier this winter I had picked up this vintage floor lamp with a similar shape for only $2 at an Estate Sale.
**This post contains affiliate links** It was in pretty rough shape, but with some Rub N Buff I was able to get it looking much better.
Now it has a home in the corner of the bedroom where it compliments our new ceiling fan beautifully.
Along with the overhead light and floor lamp, we’re also using these copper and marble lamps on our nightstands. I love the contrast of the copper compared the the oil rubbed bronze on all of the other fixtures.
There’s only two weeks left to finish this entire bedroom for the One Room Challenge! I’ve still got curtains and art on their way, plus a TON of finishing touches to take care of. Things like touch-up paint, trim installation (it’s currently just cut and set in place!), figuring out my dresser situation, and figuring out how to make our door work swinging out rather than in. Let’s just say I’ll be very busy for the next couple of weeks! If you haven’t been following along here are the rest of my One Room Challenge posts.
