Reading Nook with Built in Daybed

Welcome to my week five update for the One Room Challenge! I really can’t believe how fast the last five weeks have flown by. I am one week away from having to completely finish this space, style it, photograph it, and reveal it! Although I still have a TON left to do, the space really came together this week with these stunning pillows and art from Minted.
Minted Art**This post contains affiliate links** Because the window isn’t centered in the space, I chose these two art pieces to help balance out the window. The Stormy Sunrise Print had all the right colors and I love the way the abstract watercolors work together. The You are Loved Print is so perfect for a space that our whole family sees daily. It is just a sweet reminder. I also love how it doesn’t compete with the watercolor.Minted Pillows

For the pillows I chose the Modern Marble Pillow, Midnight Florals Pillow, and Fields Pillow. You may actually remember that the Midnight Florals pattern is the same pattern I used for the curtains in my master bedroom. I love it so much that I wanted to carry it to another space in the house.
Modern Pillows and Art

Choosing patterns and prints on the computer is always a bit risky, because you never know how’ll they look in person, but I couldn’t be happier with the way these patterns work together. I also love how they work with the buffalo check patterned rug. (which sadly is sold out and discontinued, here is a similar one if you’re looking)

This week I also hung these Nate Berkus brass chains and added this faux fiddle leaf fig plant from Target. (If you follow me on Instagram this is old news, maybe you should?!)Modern Built in Daybed

With one week left I still have to stain and install trim, hang doors in the laundry closet, paint the built ins, and style the bookshelves. It’s going to be a busy week!

I am SO happy with how this space is coming together! I can just imagine many many hours spent reading here as a family.Modern Daybed with Bookshelves

Solid fabric selection ! The midnight floral is a great palette to work off as you bring color to the rest of your home ?
