Hey friends! Can you believe it’s already week three of the One Room Challenge! In week one I shared the before and my mood board. Then in week two I shared the progress with my lighting and faux board and batten. Today I’m here to tell you all about the locker storage cabinets we installed!
**This post contains affiliate links** The cabinets that I went with are the Adept Wide Cabinet from Sauder. Because our mudroom doesn’t have any closets, these were a great solution that didn’t involve closet construction. To help jog your memory, this was the “before” on this wall. We had some shoe shelves that always looked messy and didn’t come close to holding all of our shoes!
Now we have ALL this glorious storage!
I had about a 16″ gap between the top of the cabinets and the ceiling that I filled with a few plants and art pieces from Target. Here are the links to those pieces: Purple Plant, Wooden Art, Single Leaf Print, Buffalo Art, Double Leaf Print, Palm Plant (discontinued but similar).
I know I talked about it last week, but I’m still really crushing on this super modern flush mount light.
You might have caught a glimpse of the bench, or the window coverings, or noticed I started on my floor painting project too! Those projects will each get their own posts, but yes, the floors have been painted! Now I’m just trying to decide whether or not to stencil them like cement tile! You also might have noticed the buffalo check rug from the last One Room Challenge Reveal! I haven’t decided on a rug yet, so I just tossed that one in here for photos… hopefully I can nail one down shortly!
So at this point here’s how the to-do list is looking.
Install new light fixture Install faux board and batten Paint door
- Install new hinges and door knob
Install window coverings Assemble storage wardrobes Paintand Stencil Flooring
- Replace cream outlets and switches
- Build barn door and track
- Hang art above hook wall
- Wallpaper adult hook wall
Install bench under adult hooks
So I’ve got a lot to check of that list before the reveal in three short weeks! Here’s to some productive weekends! Thanks so much for following along! I also just want to mention how grateful I am for my sponsors: WallsNeedLove, Lamps Plus, Rockler, Blindster, D. Lawless Hardware, Amy Howard, Minted, and Sauder. Without them, this room and blog wouldn’t be possible!
