Hey friends! I am SO excited about today! It’s the first day of the One Room Challenge, hosted by Linda of “Calling it Home“. This is my fourth time participating in the challenge! First I did my Master Bedroom, then a different Master Bedroom, then in the Fall I made over our Reading Nook. This challenge I’ve decided to makeover our mudroom. I’m pretty pumped about this space! I’ll just kick things off by sharing my mudroom mood board.
Doesn’t it all look so good together?! I only started planning it last week and I was a little afraid that I couldn’t get it all together fast enough. Now that I see it all together though I’m SO excited to start working on it! Here’s how the room looks today. Do you like how I painted the ceiling months ago and just stopped there?
The before shots of our mudroom are truly embarrassing. It’s the ONLY room that still looked exactly the same in our “One Year Later Home Tour“.
Where we live boots, snow pants, and snow gear is used daily so having a mudroom is wonderful. The trouble with ours is that it’s not organized and doesn’t have much functional storage. I really hate how there aren’t any cabinets or any enclosed spaces to keep things hidden away.
Honestly, I’m not even 100% sure about my whole plan for the space. I know that it involves a live edge wood bench, lots more hooks. and installing storage wardrobes. My super ambitious project of this challenge is going to be painting the tile floors to look like cement tile!
This makeover would not be possible if it weren’t for my amazing sponsors. I am so thankful to Lamps Plus, Rockler, Blindster, D. Lawless Hardware, Amy Howard, Minted, and Sauder. It’s going to be a crazy six weeks but I’m excited to have a project to tackle and another room to complete. Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you’ll stop back to see the progress each Wednesday for the next six weeks!
