Gallery Wall with Clipboard Display
Do any of you moms feel like you are on paper overload?? Seriously there’s the school calendar, playgroup calendar, church calendar, sports calendar, and that’s only the calendars! Then add artwork, handouts, and everything else that comes home in their backpack and we’ve got a LOT of paperwork. This is where I used to keep all that stuff, but as the boys are getting older it just wasn’t cutting it anymore.
In our last house I LOVED the gallery wall in my kitchen, and I knew that I wanted something similar in this house.
I only had this one open wall for creating both a gallery wall and some type of paper corralling/display system. I completely forgot to take a “before” picture after we painted so this is the “before, before” from the week we closed on the house.
First we painted ALL the walls of the kitchen Benjamin Moore’s “Edgecomb Grey” which I completely love. It also created a fresh and clean backdrop for my bright and colorful gallery wall.
Then we brought in the Ikea Hemnes TV stands to serve as a bench. They were actually our dining seating in the old house, but because they weren’t “built in” they came with us. I’m glad they did though because they are perfect here too.
I started out by laying out all my frames on the floor with two tape measures to show exactly how much space I had.Â
Next I hung the arrangement. I didn’t worry about frame color or what was in them, because I knew I could easily change that. Then I painted a few frames, turned the oval into a chalkboard, and adjusted a few to make room for my meal planner.Â
I have SO many of my favorite things on this gallery wall I’ll try and share where they are all from!
A. Big Fork. Hobby Lobby
B. State Art Prints of Michigan (where we met), Colorado (where our love’s were born), and North Dakota (Home in the Bakken) purchased on Etsy
C. Bonnie Mohr Living Life Quote and Art Print purchased from here. (I actually bought it last Christmas for my mom and it arrived damaged. They sent me a new one and let me keep the old one so it has a few creases, but I’ll just call it character!)
D. “McGurn” Crocheted Name Doily was a wedding gift from a relative.
E. “North Dakota is my Paradise, More cow’s than people” tea towel purchased on Etsy.

I love how it brings in fun quotes and pops of color, along with a great place for all those calendars, handouts, and everything else. It’s also a great spot to sit and put on shoes (or a time-out bench).
Thanks to my “Gold Striped Opening“, the “Industrial Pendant Cage Lights“, and now this gallery wall this kitchen is slowly becoming more my style!

Love everything about your gallery wall! The quote ideas, meal plan, your grandma’s recipe, state art print.. etc. What a great idea! I have never thought of having a gallery wall in the kitchen. Love it!
