Jackson and Mason love Pirates, and already have the “treasure chest”, so a Pirate themed gallery wall was the perfect thing for their very yellow bedroom.
Initially I saw this little girl’s room on Pinterest, and knew I had to create a “boy” version!
The gallery wall barely cost me anything because I was able to paint different frames that I already had. I did purchase a few for the wall, but all from garage sales. I just love the black oval that I found for a quarter! I just mounted an old picture of a ship on some leftover fabric from the quilts that I am making. The black and white canvas actually hung in Mason’s nursery and is a picture of Jack meeting Mason for the first time! One of my favorite pictures of all time is the one of Matt and the boys from Mason’s 2nd Birthday. I just used a glass frame and mounted it on some leftover chevron fabric from the Chevron Drum Shade. In the little wood frames I’ve got a baby picture of each boy and they love to point them out to me. Lastly I found a printable for “You are my Sunshine”, which both boys love to sing with me. It was just fitting to hang it in their yellow room.
Their gallery wall just makes me happy. I think I accomplished my goal of a “boy version” of my pinterest find!
