Guess What!!! We closed on our new house today! (technically yesterday because I’m writing this at 1AM) I’m so excited to be able to share all of the pictures with you! I’ll keep this post short and sweet because after a long day of demo (gasp!) my bed is calling my name! Yes you read that right… minutes after taking this pictures I started with the demolition! Soon I’ll share a post with all of our ideas and plans! For now I’ll give you a quick new home tour by photo!
So I forgot to take a picture of the outside, but I stole this one from the listing! It’s another ranch! This is our FIFTH ranch home! It actually is laid out VERY similar to our first home in Denver! That might be why we both fell for it so fast!
Can you guess where I was demo-ing today?! Yes… this bathroom is getting an overhaul. Can you believe it’s 14 feet long?!
This room will be the boys shared bedroom.
This will be our daughter’s room.
This is the master bedroom:
As you can see we’re going drastically down in closet space! We’re going to have to get creative when it comes to storage! Here’s the master bath. It currently doesn’t have a shower, which is why the demo project is underway! We’ll be stealing space from the other bathroom to create a master shower!
Here’s the kitchen, it’s dated but I’ve got big ideas for this space!
The sunken living room:
The home also has an unfinished basement but I’ll save those pictures for another time! This house is quite a bit smaller than our Marquette house, but I’m actually really excited about the smaller size! There’s just something about a small home that I really love! If you’d like to see a video tour just watch the walkthrough at the bottom of this post! Ok, off to bed so I can tackle my massive project list tomorrow! Thanks so much for sharing in our excitement on this new home!
i was leaving a comment and bloglivin froze and your site froze since i opened it though that… but i wanted to say i love it and can’t wait to see what you do! i love love love me some ranches and i sometimes wish this was a ranch now because they are so much more baby and toddler friendly! we had a ranch for our first home and i just adored that house.
Thanks Cassie! I’m bummed that bloglovin froze up, that’s always so frustrating. I’m excited with all it’s potential. We lived only in ranches and then bought our two-story in Marquette. I missed the one level living! It’s easier to convince my husband to shuffle furniture around when there’s only one level too!
I really like the green tile in the bathroom. Our 1955 ranch had original pink and peach bathroom tile when we moved in, but sadly it was in bad shape and had to be changed. Looking forward to seeing all of your wonderful, inspirational changes!
Thanks! If the layout was better I would have kept the green tile. I sort of liked it too! But I’m willing to sacrifice for the new shower!
Wow love your house, cant wait to see you’re magic touch.
