With the arrival of our new counters, these new modern counter stools are my new favorite furniture pieces.
Over the past 18 months of owning our home, our kitchen has gone through a pretty dramatic transformation. We removed some cabinets, painted the backsplash, replaced the sink, and even covered the countertops with a faux marble sticker. Here’s how it looked 18 months ago.
We got our kitchen looking pretty good, but the faux marble counters were starting to show quite a bit of wear and tear, and we really wanted to create a breakfast bar at the peninsula. Finally last week we got our new countertops installed! We went with the LG Viatera Quartz countertops in the color “Muse”. Not only are they gorgeous, but they also created additional seating in our kitchen.
**This post contains affiliate links** Choosing modern counter stools was a tough decision, and I ended up going with these Mid Century Modern Stools.
I love that the stools are fairly low profile, and look really great with our dining chairs. Just ignore our sagging table, when I removed a leaf I also removed the support we had built.
Within minutes of the countertop installers leaving, the kids were begging for a snack on the new counter stools at the new counters!
I actually just ordered a fourth stool so that someone can sit on the end as well. I feel like that space is currently under-utilized.
Now that I’ve chosen my stools, I’ve still got plenty other decisions to make! Like what color to paint the back panel of the peninsula, and what tile to use on my backsplash. Even though the kitchen is far from done, we are all enjoying this new spot! I’m loving the simplicity of just passing breakfast, lunch, and snacks right across the counter, rather than making multiple runs to the table. I’m also LOVING how simple cleanup in here is. Thanks so much for stopping by today! If you’re kitchen is lacking a breakfast bar or island, maybe this post will help you think outside the box on a solution to create one! Otherwise if you’re shopping for stools I hope you love these options!
