DIY Side Table Chalk Paint Re-Do
Last summer I picked up this little side table at an auction. I think I paid about $7 (if even that much). It had water damage, was very dry, dirty, and in rough shape. Here’s the details on my DIY Side Table Chalk Paint Re-Do.
Even though it was in bad shape The legs had a really nice mid-century shape that I really liked at it was the perfect size for a bedroom nightstand which we really needed! I’ve been loving adding lots of vintage pieces into my home lately.
So I got out my Annie Sloan Graphite Chalk Paint and gave it two coats. I sealed it with two coats of Annie Sloan clear wax. The chalk paint went on really nicely and sealing it with the wax really covered  most of the dry and cracking parts!
A little of the dry top still shows, but nothing like it looked before. Down the road I’d like to cut a thin piece of wood to the size of the top and stain it with a contrasting wood tone. For now though I am really happy with my little $7 table!
