This “I Do Barbecue” was a fun theme for a couples wedding shower!
Recently my cousin Cory got engaged to a great girl named Kendra. Because they live in Colorado much of our family hadn’t had a chance to meet her yet. Rather than throwing an awkward shower where she’d be surrounded by family that she doesn’t know yet, we decided to throw them a couples shower! We chose the theme of an “I Do Barbecue” and hosted it at my parent’s farm. My mom ordered these great invitations on Etsy.
I made this simple “Future Mr. and Mrs. Olson” banner using this banner kit with a white paint pen.
My mom also ordered these great custom drink coozies as a favor for everyone. We kept the menu simple with pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw, macaroni and cheese, and mini cornbread muffins.
My friend Rachel made these delicious cupcakes for dessert!
My mom also found this great sign for the front door, which was perfect with the “I do barbecue” theme!
I used my letterboard to create this timeline of their love story.
One of the best parts of a couples shower was getting to enjoy it with my husband and kiddos!
Even if you’re not hosting a wedding shower, this could be a great theme for a couples baby shower as well! Or even just a great menu and decor for any celebration!
