Home Tour- A Work in Progress
We’ve lived in our new house for about a month and a half now and I still haven’t given you the official “home tour”. I keep holding back because I think, “I just want to get this, this, and this done first”. Then the other day the house was mostly clean and I just decided to go for it and give you the tour, even there is still SO much I want to accomplish.
I’ll start with the entry/living room:
What we’ve Accomplished:
-Painted Ceiling, Crown Moulding, and Walls
-“Rejuvenated” wood floors
-Purchased 11×14 floor rug
-Refinished Dresser for Entertainment center
-Hung Coral Curtains
-Took down all window screens
-Hung “put on Love” art
Future Vision:
-Get bigger TV and Wall Mount
-Bigger art for end wall
-Wallpaper/Stencil/Plank TV wall
-Put Expedit bookshelf on casters
-Rewire cable so it doesn’t show
-Repaint/Refinish front door
Kitchen:
What We’ve Accomplished:
-Painted Ceiling and Walls
-Replaced Pendant Light Shades
-Added vintage jars above cabinets
-Replaced cabinet pulls
-Installed new faucet
-Added bench in entry
Future Vision:
-Metal barstools
-Chalkboard side of pantry
-Replace dishwasher and oven
-Create Gallery Wall Above Bench
-Build pull out pantry Shelves like this
-Add door to Back Patio??
-Add Bigger Window over sink
-Remove wood “apron” above sink
-Install Wood Flooring
-Paint something like this around cutout
Stairwell to Basement:

-Shampooed Carpets
Future Vision:
-Paint lower half of wall
-Paint or Stain Handrail
-Replace Carpet
Hallway to Bedrooms:

-Added Rug (to hide the carpet/linoleum transition)

This is probably the most “complete” room… even though it still has a long way to go!!

-Hem and Line Curtains
-Replace Carpet with Wood Floors

-Complete Drywall in Closet

-Replace Map with something more “above the bed friendly”
Guest Room/Future Daughter’s Room:

-Repair Closet with Drywall and Swinging Door (Half of this closet is the back of the boys closet)

-Replaced Medicine Cabinet with Bigger Mirror

-Replace Sink (Even though Matt loves this one for some odd reason??)
-Replace Toilet with Taller one

Playroom:

Laundry/Utility Room: (Couldn’t even walk in there to get a picture!)
Our utility room is a disaster. It has been the lowest priority and is quickly becoming a higher priority as I can barely get to the washer.

-Built Shelving
Future Vision:
-Add a light over washer
-Get Organized!!
-Add Bathroom
