A friend’s littlest (of 5 kids) is T-R-O-U-B-L-E. One day out of exasperation she showed up on my doorstep with a piece of wood and a bunch of stuff to put on the wood. Her thoughts were if she could keep her little guy busy playing with this, maybe she could keep him out of the fridge, toilet, coffee, milk, etc.
Although it took me F-O-R-E-V-E-R to get this done for her, it’s finally complete. It actually didn’t take me forever to do it, it took me forever to clear the other projects from my garage so I could work on this. I just spray painted the board yellow, taped off the lines, painted it black, peeled off the tape, attached the hardware, and painted the letters on.
So here’s whats on the busy board: a light switch, a padlock, 2 knobs, a deadbolt, a chain lock, those “door stopper springy things”, a window latch, hook and eyes, and a spinning wheel. Hopefully this DIY busy board will keep her 2 year old busy and out of trouble for a bit (and save her sanity!)
