Quite a while ago I shared with you our “Mid Century Master Bedroom“. Since sharing it we replaced the flooring and I’ve been tweaking my black, wood, and gold modern gallery wall. After numerous tweaks (and new nail holes), I finally got it a way that I love it!
Even though I have a nice basement home office, often this is where I curl up to write or to read a book. I’ve made a LOT of gallery walls, but never one in a corner like this!
A few of the items are thrifted ones, and then there’s some really special ones in there too. The “Love at First Sight” frame is one that I fell in love with in a shop in Granby, CO. After walking away from it my Mother-in-law surprised me when she secretly ordered it and it showed up on my doorstep a few weeks later!
The framed poem on the bottom right is a poem that Matt wrote me for our first anniversary! Next to it is a quote that I gave him for our first anniversary! It’s something that we had always said to each other without ever realizing it is a quote from “Winnie the Pooh”. It says, “If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day so I never have to live without you.”
The “I can’t Help Falling In love with You” wood sign is one that I bought from Wheat & Beans at the Eco Chic Design Conference.
Even though all of the frames and prints are completely different, I think the simple 4 colors keep it from feeling too crazy. I also love how it ties in with the wood floors and black and white curtains. It’s such an inspiring little corner!
If you’re considering doing a gallery wall I’ve put together a Pinterest board full of inspiration. I hope you’re inspired to hang up all the things that you love!
