Last year we celebrated Advent by counting down to Jesus’ birth with a book or movie every day of advent. It was a fun and exciting way for the boys to understand how long they had to wait until Christmas. I made a point to include books that emphasize Jesus’ birth as the reason for Christmas, so it also helped them to understand what all the excitement was about!

I am working on building our advent Library with tons of meaningful books, so I wanted to share my 24 Kids Books to Read During Advent. I have been hunting for these at thrift shops, garage sales, and on Amazon and I hope to own them all soon! Even if you can’t read all 24 I hope this will give you a few ideas for some great books to read with your kids this December!
