Although our fireplace is 100% fake, I have enjoyed having a focal point for holiday decorating. I had to seize the opportunity and create a Valentines Mantel.
I actually had hung the burlap silhouettes of the boys next to our family photo. Then during playgroup the tape gave way and Mason’s silhouette landed on my friend’s head. Thankfully it was just a piece of cardboard under the burlap!
There’s a little story behind the “I really really”, “really like you” signs. Way back when Matt and I first started dating, I was the first to say, “I love you” to Matt. Him not wanting to just say it in response to me responded with, “I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY like you”. Thankfully about a week later he said it to me by his own prompting, and forever since has been proud that he said it on his own terms, not just because I said it. Anyways, I made the signs because they remind me of that and make me smile every time I see them!
