After dealing with the “Poo-fest“, the “Mold-fest“, and lots of drywall and painting, I’m SO happy to share pictures of the basement reveal!
Sadly I didn’t take any pictures of the “Before”. I was sort of caught off guard when poop water began seeping into the room and we had to start tearing out carpet. I do have the listing photos though, with the prior owners stuff.

I love how bright the basement is, and with a fully fenced in basement there is total privacy without any  curtains or blinds, so the plan is to leave the windows uncovered. We painted the walls with Benjamin Moore’s “Everlasting”. The carpet was a Black Friday deal at Menards and is “Shaw Jules Frieze in White Sand“. After 2 months of not having a “playroom”, I am SO thankful to have it back!
For now we’re not planning on investing in furniture or anything else for down here and letting it just be a playroom. I would like to bring a bit of color though on the pillows and walls, so over the next few weeks I’ll let you know how it evolves.
**Update** Head to this post to see how I ended up decorating this space!

How has your carpet held up? We just purchased the exact same carpet from Menards.
We actually didn’t end up living in the house too much longer after that. We really liked it while we lived there, but I’m not sure how it lasted. I hope you enjoy yours though!
