Here in Marquette Spring is trying to make a breakthrough, but within a day of all of the snow melting, we got another six inches!! Since it barely feels like Spring outside, I decided to bring a little Spring inside. Today I want to share with you my modern living room Spring tour.
When you last saw this room I had just finished painting the paneling, and it was looking pretty stark. As much as I love the clean modern look, for Spring I decided to bring in some color.
**This post contains affiliate links** This paper floral Garland from Target is probably my favorite piece of Spring decor. You already saw it once in my Spring entryway.
I also wanted to bring in some color by switching out the candlesticks on the mantel.
Recently I shared my “Tips for styling a modern bookshelf“. All I did over here was add an Easter Egg Garland and a couple of tulips.
For the seating area in front of the window I decided to brighten it up with a couple of coral pillows. The flower pillow actually came from the patio section at Target. I actually love using indoor/outdoor pillows in the house because they are practically stain-proof.
The corner was brightened up by the faux succulents that I put in the ceramic planters that I picked up from Revisions.
As much as I’d love to have live succulents, I know my track record and I love the instant gratification of a faux greenery.
On the back wall of the living room I just hung an old window frame with some succulent globes in them.
I also love the way that these wood beads add some texture and color to this wall. Originally I used them as a Christmas decoration, but then never put them away!
If you’re looking to add some Spring color to your home, all it takes is a few faux (or real) plants, and a few pops of color. Many of my pillow covers are removable, so I don’t even have to store pillows the rest of the year. I hope you enjoyed our simple modern Spring home tour, and maybe got a few ideas for bringing Spring into your house!

Where did you purchase your camel leather chair?
I actually wrote an entire post about it! It’s from Art Van, here is the post: http://www.brightgreendoor.com/the-perfect-camel-leather-armchair/
Oh thank you! I read the article, but somehow missed seeing the name of the chair(s). Much appreciation, it’s just beautiful!
Thank you for asking! I’m glad I could guide you there!
