This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Dollar General for IZEA Worldwide. All opinions are 100% mine.
This year I took a big leap and volunteered to be a 4th grade room mom with a good friend of mine! We decided for this year’s holiday party we’d play a bunch of minute to win it kids holiday party games. We found so many great ones that I wanted to share them all with you here! These would be super fun games for a family Christmas party or an office party as well!
Before jumping into playing them all with the entire 4th grade class, I decided to give them all a trial run with my three kiddos at home! Thanks to Dollar General and their new DG GO! App I was able to buy everything we needed for school AND home for under $30!
Before heading to the store I downloaded the App from the App Store (it’s also available in the Google Play Store ). Once I was at the store it kept a running total as I was scanning products and tossing them into my cart. This total even includes tax and the DG GO! App also automatically adds any applicable coupons to your order. Another awesome part of the app is that there’s an instant savings on every item just for using the app!
Mason and I had a fun time grabbing everything we needed, and when we were done all we had to do was scan the QR code at the kiosk at the exit! No waiting in lines or waiting for an available cashier!
Once we were home the kids LOVED giving all the games a trial run! Here’s the Minute to Win It Holiday Party Games that we played:
Kleenex Race- Each player races to pull out all their kleenexes with one hand.
Bring it Up Cup Race- A Race to bring your colored cup from the bottom to the top of the stack, one cup at a time.
Magic Carpet Ride- A race to the finish line while scooting on a rug.
M&M Color Sort- A one handed race to sort out M&M’s by color.
Oreo Face- A competition to see who can get the Oreo from their face to their mouth the fastest!
Elephant Slinky- A competition to get the slinkys from hanging to stacked on your forehead the fastest.
We were having so much fun playing these games that I set up my iPhone to video each one! All of our Minute to Win it fun is in the video below!
If you’re considering playing these games, I compiled a list of supplies for you to bring to Dollar General. Between this printable list and their DG GO! App you’ll be 100% prepared for an awesome holiday party with hardly any effort!
- Boxes to Tissue
- Packages of Solo Cups (I added a tape strip around the bottom cup to identify it)
- Upside Down Bathroom Rugs
- Package of Holiday M&M’s
- Clear Plastic Cups
- Holiday Oreos

Thanks a ton for reading and have a FUN and Merry Christmas!
