This tutorial on How to Spray Paint Furniture will have you refinishing pieces left and right!
It all started when I was looking through my mom’s Ballard Designs catalog and found this Console for just a mere $799! **Contains affiliate links** I actually considered it because I loved it so much, but I realized spending $800 on a non-essential piece of furniture was not an option!
So I started searching Craigslist and found this buffet for $100 (I talked her down from $150).
Fast forward 6 months to last week when I decided to complete this bad boy! First I sanded and primed it.
Then I got my walnut gel stain out and stained the top. Next I sealed it with Polycrilic. *Contains Affiliate Links*
Then I spray painted the drawers and doors with Rustoleum Satin Eden. The whole project took about 2 cans. Then I also coated them with Polycrilic.
Then I taped off the top and spray painted the buffet (and of course coated with Polycrilic).
Then I drilled some new holes to install new oil rubbed bronze hardware. It’s the same hardware I used  on the kitchen cabinets.

Here is the finished product! I am totally in love with my spray painted DIY refinished green buffet and can’t wait to use it in the kitchen! I was so antsy to see it that I actually carried lugged it in from the garage into the house all by myself! It will be fun to have a bright pop of color in the kitchen!
I was wondering if you just used sand paper?
I used an electric sander wherever I could, but now I just use citristrip and deglosser. So much easier! (and less messy). https://www.brightgreendoor.com/2013/04/how-i-strip-and-paint-gross-furniture.html
I’m trying to fix up my dresser and I wanted to know if sand paper will be ok
Definitely. It’s just more work than a electric sandpaper.
I love your buffet! The color is amazing. Such a pretty shade of green.
