For the longest time I didn’t decorate for Halloween because I wasn’t into the scary, spooky or satanic leaning traditions. Then after lots of begging from my kids last year we started a new tradition of Fun and Modern Halloween Decorations. The goal is that it would all be Silly and Fun, with nothing scary or creepy. This year we’ve added a few new decorations and I think we’ve accomplished our goal!
Honestly, the pictures really speak for themselves, so I’m not going to do much talking!
I will mention that the skeleton banner might be our favorite. The kids are constantly trying to see how fast they can do all the skeleton poses, turning into a crazy fun dance!
Around Halloween I always make sure the candy corn dish is full… my husband and I are in constant debate… should the candy corn have peanuts mixed into it or not?? I say no.
Of course I brought back the wall bats. Could I even be a blogger if I didn’t?!
These $10 orange throw pillows are the best pop or color, especially because they’re super easy to store, and just go over the pillow covers that I use all year round. I’ll swap them for red ones at Christmastime.
Isn’t purple eucalyptus the perfect Halloween floral?! It looks so good with my thrifted Fall art too!
Halloween Kitchen and Dining Room
This paper roll is the most versatile Holiday decoration, because it’s so easy to just switch up the message every season!
In the dining room I hung these spiders and I have to admit they were short lived… too scary for my daughter. I thought they were fun though! Maybe I’ll try again next year?
This poseable skeleton is a new addition this year, and it’s hilarious seeing all the ways dress and pose him.
