Today I’m sharing about a simple little upgrade we made to our patio… about 6 months ago!!! I know it’s awful that I’m finally sharing, better late than never right?? Anyways, this is the new window we put in above our sink.
Here’s the big window buffet we installed outside of the window. See we love to eat outside, but that involves going through the garage to get to the patio. Now rather than carrying food all the way around it can just be passed through the window!
All I did was buy these wood brackets from our local hardware store, along with a 2×6 that I painted white. It was seriously the most simple project ever. Doesn’t it look pretty against our dark painted house?
I screwed the supports into the siding and also into the bottom of the “shelf”.
I made sure to choose window with screens that raised and lowered so that this would be an option. It’s so nice to just push the screen up and pass food back and forth. Or pass S’more fixings, because really that’s our favorite thing to cook outside!
So that was our simple window serving buffet that has made outdoor eating SO much nicer! It’s also pretty and adds some character to our outdoor patio area!
Yep, these gorgeous winter days make me want to pull out the adirondack chairs I painted and cozy up with a warm blanket and eat a s’more around the campfire!
