Hi! I’m Jess! I’m a wife & mom, a creator and a finder, a maker and a “try to do it all at once-er”. I love DIY’ing, thrifting, and iced coffee. If the words vintage, free, DIY’ed or anything brass inspires you, you’re in the right place.
I’ve got a marketing degree, my MBA, and 7 years of retail management experience, but I am much happier with my gig as a stay at home mom & blogger. I grew up in Minnesota, went to college in Michigan, studied abroad in Finland and Austria, Moved to Denver, North Dakota, and am now back in my college town of Marquette, Michigan.
I’ve got an amazing husband and two little boys. We are also adopting a little girl from Haiti!
This blog got started while we lived in the house with the BrightGreenDoor as I documented our progress of flipping that house. From there we moved to the Auction Adventure House, and then on to the Retro Ranch which we flipped from top to bottom. Now we’re living in the Marquette House which is my favorite of them all.
If you’d like to follow BrightGreenDoor I’d love if you’d sign up to receive my e-mails!
