A Day in the life of a Oil Trucker

As most of you know, Matt drives an oil tanker up here in the "Bakken" region of North Dakota. He works in all weather, all conditions, and snaps a few pictures along the way, I thought I'd share a few with you to show you what he does.

This is one of the trucks that Matt drives, beautiful ND sky too!

Here is his truck at a lact. A lact is where they unload the oil into the pipeline which brings it to it's destination.

Here he is at a well site. That bridge that connects the tanks is where Matt climbs up to check the oil before he loads it into his truck. Those tanks hold the oil and water that is pumped out of the ground and he fills his tanker with crude oil from these tanks.

Here is a pic he snapped at a really beautiful well site in the canyon. He gets to see beautiful sights like this every day!

Here's a few more awesome views of the badlands.

Last week his friend Adam took this video driving to a well. Look at those curves and cliffs they drive on!

I also posted some other videos that he has taken. It's pretty amazing the conditions and roads that he drives through every day.

    1. Thanks! Isn't it beautiful. Sometimes it's easy to get caught up in the frustration of living in a remote boom-town, but there's a lot of perks too. Thanks for keeping him in your prayers too. Some days I think being married to a trucker is scarier than a police officer or fire fighter.
